The NYC Big Book Award recognized The Space Traveller’s Lover in the science-fiction category as a Distinguished Favourite.
The competition is judged by experts from different aspects of the book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, designers, booksellers, librarians and professional copywriters. Winners and distinguished favourites are based on overall excellence.
In The Space Traveller’s Lover, readers are invited to embark on an enthralling journey through mystery, love, and the extraordinary. Entries this year were received from the United States as well as countries such as Australia, Canada, China, Cyprus, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. Cities represented included Asheville, Beijing, Colorado Springs, Dublin, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Melbourne, New York, Portland, San Francisco, Singapore, Tel Aviv, and Vancouver were among the entries.

About the Author
Omara Williams earned a BSc Honours in Nuclear Engineering from Havana University and several Information Systems diplomas from Leeds University. She is currently an award-winning software manager. When she is not working, she enjoys watching the night sky, investigating ancient alien theories, and chasing total solar eclipses. She lives with her husband and daughter in Cambridge, England.
